I was lucky enough to visit LA again for the first time since moving away in 2014. My wife and I made the stop after spending a week in Portland for the Aerial Olympics competition. It was my first time being in California in January and I was immediately struck by the brilliant green hills that I’ve almost exclusively seen as barren desert in the past. It may also have been the only time I’ve experienced rain in Los Angeles. It was refreshingly cool and spring-like.
